Honor Roll Criteria

​

First Honors - Justice Thurgood Marshall Scholars

Must pass ALL classes with 80% or higher

Have a cumulative average of 95% or higher for that quarter

Attendance of 90% or higher.

​

Second Honors - Judge Constance Baker Motley Scholars

Must pass ALL classes with 80% or higher

Have a cumulative average of 90% to 94.4% for that quarter

Attendance of 90% or higher.

 

Third Honors - Dean Charles Hamilton Houston Scholars

Must pass ALL classes with 80% or higher

Have a cumulative average of 85% to 90% for that quarter

Attendance of 90% or higher.

Our Honor Roll is named after three Social Justice Lawyers who played a role in the most important social justice case in our history, Brown v. Board of Education.

​

Many lawyers were involved in this case, three famous ones are Thurgood Marshall,

Constance Baker Motley, and Charles Hamilton Houston.

 

Marshall became a Supreme Court Justice,

Motley a Federal District Court Judge, and

Charles Hamilton Houston was the head of the NAACP and the Dean of Howard University Law School
