• ​Weekly Team Professional Development - LSJ has a robust PD schedule for our teachers and staff.  We have 10 days before the start of school, availability of PD and coaching from your Leadership during the 3-4 PM PLANNING period, quarterly PD days, and outside opportunity for additional PD.

• Coaching - Each department has an AP and a Department Chair. Teachers have weekly common planning periods, departmental meetings, and grade-level meetings to discuss their instructional practices, trends with student behavior, and best practices around making academic or cultural adjustments to meet the learning needs of our students.

• Representation by the UFT - All of our instructional staff members are represented by the UFT. Our faculty enjoy the UFT membership and its full benefits as a newly developed partnership.
