Meet the Team

Luke Ackerman
Hi, I’m Luke Ackerman, and I’m excited to be running the 2025 New York City Marathon with Team CHSLSJ. This will be my first time running a marathon, and I’m proud to be doing it in support of the Charter High School for Law and Social Justice in the Bronx. I’ll be raising money to help CHSLSJ expand its impact to serve more students in the community by supplying them with the necessary access to technology, facilities, and resources to support their educational journey. Training for this race is a big commitment, but doing it for a cause that has a such a positive impact on the lives of young students makes the effort more meaningful than any personal milestone. I’m proud to be part of this team and to contribute to something that extends far beyond race day. Thanks for being here and for your support, as it really does make a difference.

Jason Faulkenberry
Hello, I'm Jason Faulkenberry, and I’m proud to be running my very first marathon this year right here in New York City, alongside Team CHSLSJ. The 2025 NYC Marathon marks more than just a personal milestone; it’s an opportunity to support a cause that truly resonates with me. I’m running not only in honor of the middle school students at the Charter High School for Law and Social Justice (CHSLSJ), but also in honor of the values that have shaped me: discipline, education, and community—all instilled by two of the most important people in my life, my parents, both lifelong educators. Their dedication to their students and belief in the power of learning continue to inspire me every day. Training for this marathon has been, and will continue to be, a journey filled with early mornings, long runs, and more than a few sore muscles. But knowing I’m running for something bigger than myself keeps me going. I’m excited to take on this challenge, and even more excited to give back in the process. Thank you for supporting me, and thank you for supporting a cause that means so much.

Kate Zitzmann
Hi, I’m Kate Zitzmann, and I’m super excited to share that I will be running the 2025 NYC Marathon with Team CHSLSJ! Team Charter High School for Law and Social Justice (CHSLSJ) is an organization dedicated to raising funds in support of a charter school based in the Bronx. As a former collegiate and high school track athlete, running has always been a significant part of my life and continues to be a meaningful way for me to support causes that I care about. I’m looking forward to using my passion for running to create a positive and lasting impact. In the past two years, Team CHSLSJ has raised more than $50,000, and I'm thrilled to contribute toward exceeding that goal this year. Every dollar raised will have a meaningful impact — from improving school facilities to supplying vital educational resources for students. I hope you’ll join me in supporting the efforts of Team CHSLSJ. Education has the power to change lives and I’m confident we can help create a lasting, positive impact in the lives of the students at this school.

Fraser Hunter
Fraser Hunter is running his third marathon on the eve of his 60th birthday. This year will be his first year running with Team CHSLSJ at the 2025 NYC Marathon. He is connected to the school through his son Henry, who taught at CHSLSJ during the summer of 2022. Fraser is looking forward to not only beating his previous marathon times, but also to use this race to create greater opportunities for the students at CHSLSJ. He is a graduate of Brown University and Columbia Law School.

Henry Hunter
Henry Hunter is running his first marathon. A native New Yorker, running this race is a dream come true, and it is a huge honor to be running for the CHSLSJ team. Currently, Henry teaches at Saint David’s School after beginning his career at Valence College Prep as a middle school humanities teacher. Prior to teaching at Valence College Prep, Henry spent a summer teaching high school world history at CHSLSJ. He saw firsthand the school’s commitment to their students, and he is looking forward to contributing to the school through the fundraising efforts of the CHSLSJ marathon team. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
