This weekend our 11th grade counselor, Ms. MJ and a group of our scholars volunteered at the senior center with digital grandparents. There, they supported the seniors with learning how to utilize technologies, everything from how to use their cell phones, how to manage their emails and creat new accounts as well as blocking spam from their devices.

Este fin de semana, nuestra consejera de 11º grado, la Sra. MJ, y un grupo de nuestros estudiantes se ofrecieron como voluntarios en el centro para personas mayores con abuelos digitales. Allí, ayudaron a las personas mayores a aprender cómo utilizar las tecnologías, desde cómo usar sus teléfonos celulares, cómo administrar sus correos electrónicos y crear nuevas cuentas, además de bloquear el spam desde sus dispositivos.

Happy Monday! Sharing with everyone that starting today, the counseling team and Student Council will be partnering with Room to Grow for our Holiday Toy/ Book Drive. We will be collecting toys/books/linen for children ages 0-3 years old. All donations will be given to Room to Grow where they will be distributed to children throughout The Bronx.

We have done community service with Room To Grow and have fostered a great relationship where now we are able to expand our efforts to serve various communities in The Bronx. Our goal is to donate at least 100 items for children. If you are interested in donating an item, please give it to Ms. MJ. We will soon have a donation box where you can drop off donations. We are accepting donations until December 10th. Please see what we are accepting and not accepting on the flyer.

I had the privilege to be invited to the Charter Schools Collaboration Breakfast where not only did I meet some incredible individuals but was able to gain a deeper perspective on things happeing in our city and state as well as further my collaboration tactics. I also personally met Mr. Marc Jerome who is the President @monroe_university the current school im attending and graduating this fall semester. Thank you Mr. Jerome for the kind words and your efforts in providing so many amazing services to our scholars and community of the Bronx.

Tuve el privilegio de ser invitada al Desayuno de Colaboración de Escuelas Chárter donde no solo conocí a algunas personas increíbles, sino que también pude obtener una perspectiva más profunda de lo que sucede en nuestra ciudad y estado, así como también mis tácticas de colaboración.
